Kylo Ren & Rey Premium Format Figures by Sideshow Revealed! [EXCLUSIVE]
Screen Rant is happy to reveal an exclusive first close-up look at new Premium Format collection figures of Kylo Ren and Rey from Sideshow Collectibles. Kylo Ren and Rey both splashed onto the cinematic and pop culture scene in 2015's fanatically anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Since then, the characters have gone on to become mainstays in Star Wars marketing, as well as go-to characters for fan cosplay.
Fans had waited over three decades for a sequel to Return of the Jedi and while the Star Wars Expanded Universe, which included comics, games and novels, as well as shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, continued to breathe life into the franchise, a proper film followup to Episode VI was what everyone really wanted. The sale of Lucasfilm to Disney meant that was finally going to come to fruition. The Force Awakens not only provided fans with an update on Luke, Leia and Han, but it also gave them new characters such as Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn and Poe, which have joined the original characters as part of the Star Wars zeitgeist.
These deluxe statues, which are sold separately, are part of Sideshow's Star Wars Premium Format collection. The figures of both Kylo Ren and Rey are inspired by their appearances in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and are depicted on the wreckage of the Death Star as the waves of Kef Bir crash around them. The mixed media statues combine hand-painted portraits, highly detailed sculpts, and meticulously tailored fabric elements.

Sideshow has a long history of producing and distributing high-end collectibles from various movies, films, television series, comics, and video games, including Star Wars, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, The Lord of the Rings, Disney, Harry Potter, Masters of the Universe, Pokémon, Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, and many, many more. The company is no stranger to the horror genre, having produced merchandise for film franchises like Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, Child's Play, Hellraiser, Dracula, Ghostbusters, The Nun, Annabelle, Halloween, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon, among many others.
While highly detailed collectibles like these can give fans their Kylo Ren and Rey fixes, some may still want to see the characters in the flesh. Luckily, they can be seen at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL, as well as Disneyland Anaheim, CA. The stories told at the land's Black Spire Outpost take place in the time period between the events of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, so like these figures, Kylo Ren can be forever with us.
