Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 9 Trailer: Man Of Steel Goes Missing
The trailer for Superman & Lois season 2, episode 9, teases that the Man of Steel will be going missing for mysterious reasons. Things are starting to ramp up in Superman & Lois season 2 as the Inverse Society is continuing to make its big moves. After Bizarro's death, the Arrowverse drama has elevated Mitch Anderson to the status as one of the main villains for season 2. In the latest Superman & Lois episode 8, several members managed to travel over to the other mystery dimension that Ally Alston has been speaking about for the whole season.
With only six episodes remaining for Superman & Lois season 2, things will only get more intense as the show approaches its upcoming season finale. While Superman & Lois has a shorter season in comparison to some of the other Arrowverse shows, fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief this week. After months of waiting, The CW finally began its round of renewals, including Superman & Lois season 3 being greenlit for the 2022-2023 TV season. Whether or not it will be back in the fall or slated for midseason 2023 (as per season 2's premiere this year) remains to be seen.
Following the events of this week's Superman & Lois episode, "Into Oblivion," The CW (via TV Promos) aired a trailer for season 2, episode 9, which is set to air next week. Titled "30 Days and 30 Nights," the trailer shows that after Superman travels to Metropolis for an assignment, as Lois refers it to, before cutting over to a news montage asking where the Man of Steel is. The new Superman & Lois promo also has the boys mentioning that their father has never been gone for this long, implying that something very dramatic may be about to occur.

The official episode synopsis that was released by The CW for "30 Days and 30 Nights" interestingly doesn't even mention what Superman will be up to next week, which raises more questions. The plot does, however, revolve around election day as Lana Lang-Cushing's mayoral storyline is reaching that point in the season. Superman & Lois season 2, episode 9 was written by Katie Aldrin and Jai Jamison, while Ian Samoil helmed it after directing the Superman & Lois season 1 episode, "Fail Safe."
Based on Lois' concerns about the boys in the footage, it sounds like maybe Jordan and Jonathan may step up while their father is MIA. Superman & Lois season 2 has wasted no time in showing Jordan becoming more in control of his powers, and episode 9 will likely be a testament to that notion. While it could just be clever editing, the trailer for next week's episode does potentially tease that Jordan may be about to super leap, or perhaps even learn the power of flight. Fans will have to simply tune in to Superman & Lois next week to find out what is going on with Clark, and how the family deals with his absence.
