Liverpool cult hero Divock Origi closing in on AC Milan transfer after verbally agreeing to join Serie A giants
LIVERPOOL hero Divock Origi is closing in on a transfer to AC Milan after reportedly verbally agreeing to join.
The Champions League and Premier League winner can join any club for free this summer with his contract expiring in June.
And according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A leaders Milan have a verbal agreement with the Belgian to join the club.
Both parties have agreed on a four-year contract but are yet to settle on the financial terms.
Milan have offered Origi around £2.5million-per-season but the striker is looking to pick up closer to £3.7m.
However, it is possible that both parties could meet in the middle at £3.3m.

Origi hasn’t played much football this term.
He has made just 14 first-team appearances, managing to find the net on five occasions.
The 26-year-old famously netted in the 2019 Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona to overturn a three-goal deficit.
Origi also struck Liverpool‘s second in the final against fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham.

The Belgium international also helped the Reds win their first Premier League title the following season.
Boss Jurgen Klopp will be sad to see Origi go.
The German has described the jovial forward as “one of the best finishers” he has ever seen.
Klopp said: “(Origi) is an incredible striker and for different reasons he did not play that often, but I hope one day he finds a manager that plays him more than I do.
“He’s one of the best finishers I’ve ever seen in my life.
“In this great team, with our (front) three, he doesn’t play all the time but he is a very positive boy, loves the club, wants to contribute and he did in an incredible way.”
