Jorginho’s Chelsea future in doubt as agent reveals ‘playing in Serie A is a dream’ and names five potential clubs

CHELSEA star Jorginho’s future at Stamford Bridge has been plunged into doubt as his agent admits he’d be up for a “dream” Serie A return.

The midfielder’s representative Joao Santos specified his client could go to “AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma or Napoli” and admitted he also held talks with Paris Saint-Germain as well as Barcelona.

The Blues are in financial turmoil as departing owner Roman Abramovich was slapped with sanctions by the UK government due to Russia’s unjust invasion of Ukraine and his alleged links with president Vladimir Putin.

Although the Italy international would be keen on a return to the Serie A, his agent insists he can’t go anywhere until 2023 as Chelsea can’t sell players as things stand.

Santos told Tuttomercatoweb, as per Football Italia: “Playing in Serie A is a dream for him and his heart remains here.

“As things stand today, he could play for four or five clubs: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”

Santos added: “There are many clubs interested in him.

“In the past I spoke to PSG, Barcelona and also Milan’s Ricky Massara. I don’t know if the Rossoneri are still interested, though.

“The fact remains, we can’t do anything now because Chelsea are not allowed to sell, buy or renew contracts.

“Jorginho has a contract until June 2023, after the World Cup we’ll see about working on a renewal.”

Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018 and has since amassed a total of 26 goals and seven assists in 179 appearances across all competitions.

The west Londoners look set to lose Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta, who will become free agents in June, while Jorginho’s deal also runs out next year in the summer.
