Oscar wins are hard to come by, and those actors who have won multiple Academy Awards are an exclusive club.

This year, past winners that are nominated include Judi Dench, Olivia Colman, Nicole Kidman, JK Simmons, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, and Denzel Washington. All but Washington won once before and have a chance to join that club (Washington won twice).

Last year, Frances McDormand entered the three-Oscars club for her performance in "Nomadland" (she also won an award for best picture since she produced "Nomadland"). She joined other actors like Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep who have three acting Oscars.

Anthony Hopkins also won his second Oscar last year for "The Father," nearly three decades after he won his first Oscar for "The Silence of the Lambs."

John Lynch contributed to an earlier version of this post.
