In another instance, Sri Mahalingeshwara temple at Puttur near Mangaluru, has said only Hindus can bid for bulk allotment of temporary stalls for the 10-day temple fair beginning April 10. The ban on Muslim vendors in Shivamooga follows the recent murder of a Hindu activist Harsha which triggered violence and tension in the city.
