90 Day Fiancé: Kim Apologizes To Sojaboy Usman In Cryptic IG Story
Kim Menzies posted a confusing message for Usman Umar, aka Sojaboy, on Instagram in which she apologized to him, hinting at possible trouble in their 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days relationship. Kim, a 50-year-old from San Diego, got her wish of dating Usman, 32, granted when he finally called her his “official” girlfriend. Kim met Usman on social media as a fan and developed romantic feelings for him. Usman only saw Kim as a “potential” partner as he was fresh out of a relationship with Zara, another American woman. But Kim’s threats about ending their friendship pushed Usman into dating her.
Fans were fooled by Usman’s Instagram posts about his supposed wedding, which even had Kim commenting, “Congratulations,” on one of them. However, it was easy to see that Usman was actually filming a new music video with a woman and possibly sharing the content online to get people talking. The Nigerian man has been accused of being a clout chaser, and Usman himself has admitted to using 90 Day Fiancé for fame. The show did end up giving a boost to Usman’s singing career, even though it meant the end of his marriage with his first wife, Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme. Lisa, who was allegedly fired from 90 Day Fiancé, accused Usman of running a romance scam and being after a Green Card. Recently, she also called Kim and Usman’s relationship fraudulent.
But things between Kim and Usman took a serious turn in the recent 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode in which he told her she would be coming to Nigeria with him to meet his family. Usman wrote a special song for Kim, which made her weep. Still, Kim’s Instagram Story on Tuesday saw her admitting that she started “questioning” herself and Usman. “Things have been rough on social media the last two days,” Kim confessed. She apologized to Usman by tagging both his Instagram accounts, @sojaboy_90days and @officialsojaboy.
According to Kim, things have been rough on social media for the past two days. She revealed she’s been getting negative comments and DMs. Yet Kim said she won’t be letting her critics “ruin” what she has with Usman. “Things will get better,” added Kim. And she concluded her cryptic Instagram Story with, “I promise” even though it seemed unclear if she was saying this to convince herself or Usman.
The preview for Kim and Usman’s upcoming segments on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days might be the reason behind her strange admission. Kim will be flying back to the United States in Before the 90 Days episode 15 as she cries that it’ll be hard for her to be in a long-distance relationship. Kim feels that a long-distance relationship requires the couple to be “so secure,” but Usman sometimes makes Kim feel “insecure.” The couple appears to have fought again because when a producer asks Kim and Usman if there will be a “goodbye kiss on the lips” at the airport, they both have contrasting replies. Usman is direct with his “no” and Kim keeps saying, “Yes.” It could be that Kim and Usman do not have a happy 90 Day Fiancé ending this season and go back to being friends. It remains to be seen if Zara has something to do with this or if it’s Usman filming fake wedding scenes with other women that has disappointed Kim.
