Thank you

It isn't that I enjoyed the Championship, it was mostly awful, but we had a chance of winning more than we lost and of achieving something meaningful at the end of the season.

Did anyone enjoy this season? Highly unlikely unless you are some sort of masochist.

Last season was fun but even that would get dull eventually, finishing 9th and ultimately getting nothing.

The league has changed so much since we were last in it, the gap between the haves and the have not is huge and even the gap between the best of the rest, the money rich Villas and the Wolves is far above us. Then you have Newcastle and if Fulham come up they have a very wealthy owner and even West Ham have a multi Billionaire of there own now.

We are paupers and the fact we have an owner who publicly says he will sell our key players as Radz has done tells us where we will be.

The idea the Leicester model will get us European football is ludicrous. We don't have the quality of Leicester Cities recruitment, we haven't had the £300million investment Leicester have had over the last decade, and Leicester's average League position if you take the 1 miracle season out is 9th since promotion which is roughly where they will finish this season.

It's not a model for European football.

If you want European football and to challenge the top 6 then you need highly ambitious owners with very deep pockets.

The type of owners who do everything they can not to sell key players, not advertise them in interviews like ours do.

Even then it isn't guaranteed but it's far more likely then the model our lot want to follow.

I know some of our fans like the idea of self sustaining and promote from within but realistically those days are long gone, if you want success you need deep deep pockets and a resolute ambition to keep your best players.

Our model similar to Leicester or Brighton or Bournemouth or Southampton will see us exactly where those teams are, mid table or below.

And that to me is no fun hence why I'd rather be in.the Championship with a realistic achievement goal.
This is something I don’t understand but I have mentioned before a mate of mine (Swansea fan) who said exactly the same thing. Would prefer the Championship for the exact same reason. And what about Palace. They promote from within and it’s starting to produce results, early days maybe but they have a clear transfer strategy. Nothing happens overnight, you have to build for the future and consolidating a PL place is the first step. Can anyone compete with the top 2, 4 or 6. Maybe not but if you not there in the first place how would you ever know.
