Bay face top three side in next game
WITH just four league games remaining this season, Colwyn Bay play their penultimate home fixture against third-in-the-table Guilsfield on Saturday (March 26th, 2:30pm kick off).
The Powys side tightened their grip on third place with a 3-0 win over Llanidloes on Tuesday evening, with goals from Iwan Lewis, Steve Blenkinsop and Robbie James, but that was only their second win in nine league and cup games since the league restarted in January.
Despite that run, they have only been beaten in three of their 23 league fixtures and only the two sides above them in the table, Airbus and Llandudno, have conceded fewer goals.
Guilsfield beat Colwyn Bay 1-0 in a tight game at the Community Centre ground in October and the Seagulls will be looking to avenge that defeat and end their recent scoring drought which has seen them go four games without a goal.
Manager Steve Evans will be hoping for a repeat of the second half performance against TNS last Sunday as he looks to lay the foundation of a squad capable of a big promotion challenge next season.
