A Place in the Sun’s Danni Menzies ‘really disappointed’ as couple halt property viewing and claim she’s ‘gone too far’

A PLACE in the Sun’s Danni Menzies was left “really disappointed” as couple abruptly halts property viewing.

Property expert Danni was tasked with finding couple David and Diane their dream home around Almería in Spain.

They told the host that they had a budget of £150,000 and had their heart set on a rural property with lots of space, a pool, and beautiful views.

But the property hunt proved to be a challenge as they couple struggled to agree.

Danni’s first property pick was a disaster t as the couple insisted it didn’t have the views they wanted.

She swiftly moved onto the second house, but the kitchen raised some issues, with Diane wanting a modern look but David preferring a traditional kitchen.

They both ruled out the property stating that the location was not right for them.

Danni hoped to impress the pair with property number three, which boasted five spacious bedrooms and featured a combination of traditional elements and modern updates.

But halfway through the property search, Danni noticed the couple didn’t seem too happy.

She said: “I’m not getting the same excitement off you and the same feeling off you as we got at the previous property.”

Diane commented: “I think for me, if I’m honest, the drive along the road feels more rural, more isolated.

“I know that we want that but it just feels like it’s almost one step a little bit too far for me,” she confessed.

Diane also pointed out that she may have difficulties with the stairs in the property as she has problems with her knees.

She explained: “I think maybe the stairs are a little bit of an issue that I hadn’t considered. “It’s probably going to be a little bit difficult with my knees if I’m honest.”

David noted: “It’s going to come down to the practicalities of the amount of stairs and the isolation for Di driving back and forth.”

Danni then asked the couple if they wanted to continue looking at the property, she asked: “Okay, so would you like to see anymore of this one?”

But the duo were reluctant to continue and had firmly ruled out the property.

David: “I think probably not. I think. We’ve realised that what might be the dream is not a practical dream.”

“Alright then, I’m learning lots on this. It’s a toughie!” Danni laughed.

The Channel 4 presenter admitted she was finding it “tricky” to meet all their requirements.

She told the camera: “I’m really disappointed that David and Di didn’t like this beautifully finished cortijo, but I totally understand that it’s the practicalities of it rather than what it has got to offer that’s ruled it out.

“It’s on the market for just under £147,000. I thought this might be a tricky property search and so far I’ve been right.

“But, I’m not giving up without a fight.”

Despite showing them five properties with potential, the couple were not sold on any and decided to continue their search alone.
