Build-a-Bear's New Leafeon Pokémon Plush Celebrates Its Grass Type
The Grass-type Eeveelution Leafeon has been added to the Pokémon Build-a-Bear collection online, offering an adorable new addition with a cute, themed cape. The current Eeveelution selection began releasing both at brick-and-mortar stores and in online bundles during 2020, with new additions steadily being added over the past two years. The plushes come with all the customizable clothing, scents, and noise choices of standard Build-a-Bear options.
Collecting Pokémon has always extended past the Pokémon video game series, anime, and card game. Since the start of the franchise, players have been able to purchase everything from cute plushes to themed skateboards. Currently, players can find a range of adorable Pokémon clothing, jewelry, and figures on the Pokémon Center website to fit style needs. However, some of the most exciting collectible options have come from the Pokémon franchise teaming up with other companies or retailers.
A plush of the fan-favorite Pokémon Leafeon can now be purchased in both North America and the UK through the Build-a-Bear online store (via NintendoLife). The bundle comes with the 12-inch plush that possesses a 5-in-1 soundbox, a Grass-type cape, and a set of grassy pajamas. The cost of the bundle is $65 USD, with a limit of five per person. Currently, it isn't known if the standard plush will be available in stores, which was done for some past releases, giving those just wanting the plush a faster and less expensive option to purchase.
Build-a-Bear's addition of Pokémon's Leafeon brings the total released Eeveelutions to six, not including Eevee. Fans can currently collect Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, and Leafeon, though not all options are available through the Build-a-Bear store at this time. Currently, the only Eeveelution missing from the collection is the Fairy-type Sylveon, which could potentially be announced later during 2022. Additionally, fans can purchase Snorlax, Gengar, Pikachu, Charmander, and many others, offering a number of fun Pokémon companions to collect and cuddle.
While it isn't known what other Pokémon could be added to the Build-a-Bear collection in the future, it is possible recent and upcoming games could be featured. Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Hisuian Starters could be added to celebrate the new adventures through the Hisui region, or the Starters for Generation 9's Pokémon Scarlet and Violet could be a great way to build excitement for the upcoming adventures. Hopefully, many more Pokémon plushes will continue to be added to the collection, giving fans plenty of companions to build and buy in the coming months.
