Charmed: 8 Best Quotes From Prue | Screen Rant

0

Being the oldest of three, Prue Halliwell was always the mother her two younger sisters (Piper and Phoebe) got to experience fully. With this motherly role, Prue’s personality in Charmed revolved around practicality, responsibility, and integrity.

With this being the case, Prue always spoke her mind, stood up for her sisters, and lived a life of good. This ultimately gave way to Prue gracing the series with some of her best quotes and establishing a character still admired and enjoyed today.

It can be hard sometimes to separate life and work, and the lines become blurred in some cases. When it comes to the Charmed One, this seems to be an inevitable occurrence considering demons show up in their home regularly, however, that doesn't mean they can't try to set boundaries within their life.

In the 3rd season’s 18th episode, Prue and Phoebe are on the search for a demon when their topic of conversation switches to Prue keeping a healthy balance in her search for evil and her personal life. Prue quickly lets Phoebe know through this quote that she has everything under control, and she's keeping her work and personal life separate just fine.

Even in complex and dangerous situations, sarcasm seems to tumble from the Halliwell sister's mouths no matter what. Prue is the big sister of the family and a mother-like figure to her siblings, but this doesn't mean her personality is dull or dismal. This quote proves this acknowledgment.

In season 3 episode 18, the sisters are hunting for a demon that can have a person suffering from the 7 deadly sins (lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride) and it seems that the sisters become infected as well. While Prue is speaking with Piper in the kitchen about drinking during the day and almost spending $5,000 on suits for Leo, Phoebe enters the home and expresses that she messed up with her professor. When Prue asks what went wrong, Phoebe states that one minute she was talking about her paper and the next she was unzipping his pants with her teeth, and this is where Prue sarcastically responds with the quote above.

Family can be the best help in some situations, however, they can also be completely unhelpful in others. Prue and her sisters have a dynamic relationship and bond that allows for them to joke and tease each other as only sisters can.

During the “We All Scream For Ice Scream” episode, Prue is looking for a little help in recognizing a song that is stuck in her head, and she looks to receive it from her sisters, who prove to be of no assistance. When they tease her that she should add some choreography and backup singers, Prue acknowledges that she knew they'd be of no help.

A funny and gender role-switching episode in Charmed that should go down in history as one of the greatest episodes of the show's run, season 2 episode 5 will forever be a Prue Halliwell classic. Even in the reboot, the new cast of the show has nothing on the OG cast and still doesn't come close to the storylines presented in the original series.

In season 2 episode 5, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe are speaking about her date with Alan and why Prue seems to be frustrated. This comes after Prue returns from her date and Piper questions what she's doing home. Prue replies with the quote about what she wishes she were doing. Men are complex beings and it's hard to decode them sometimes. This is what Prue acknowledges in this quote about how she was hoping her date would end on a different note.

It's always a hard day for the Halliwell sisters. It seems that every day there's something new and evil trying to kill them and they just can't catch a break. No matter the threat, however, they always seem to come out on top never missing a chance to throw in a little humor while they're at it.

In the 9th episode of season 2, the sisters are jokingly teasing Piper about her happily dating the next-door neighbor when someone begins shooting up their house. After the sisters stop the attacker, they find that it's a woman and go through her things to learn who she is. When Prue comes upon some lipstick, she twists it open to find its blades and jokingly remarks that it's not something from Avon.

Having a sibling is not always easy and can sometimes prove to be troublesome. However, they're also the people that will have your back no matter what and sacrifice for each other. The Halliwell sisters have a bond like no other and this can sometimes lead to some embarrassing and awkward situations.

In season 2, episode 19, Prue rushes to speak with Piper in the living room (who's setting up a romantic date for her and Leo) when she sees something strange in the photos she's taken for the gallery. After explaining why this stranger's appearance in her photos is cause for concern, Leo orbs in for his and Piper’s date. Before excusing herself to leave the love birds alone, Prue embarrassingly whispers in Piper’s ear to practice safe sex.

The Halliwell sisters have faced some formidable enemies throughout their lives and these enemies have dealt some major blows to the sisters as well. However, they've always come back to defeat the evil and take the win. Being one of the worst demons to appear on Charmedthe demon Shax is probably the first to shake the Halliwell household.

During their battle with Shax in season 3, episode 22, the Charmed Ones are revealed to the public as witches. This revelation leads to some serious trouble for the sisters and one of the major problems is the world's hatred and fear of who they are. Because of this fear, the Halliwell mansion is surrounded and Piper dies. While speaking to Leo, Prue tells him that Piper was killed because the world now considers them demons. Due to their fear, they murdered her sister. Although Piper lives, her death is still one of the saddest moments in the series.

Prue Halliwell will always be like a mother to her sisters and considering Phoebe was young when their mother died, she wants only the best for her. This can prove a hassle when Phoebe seems determined to dismiss any real-life responsibility and Prue lets her know just that in the quote above.

In season 1, episode 8, Prue performs a truth spell that will allow her to gauge the reaction of Andy Trudeau, one of the best love interests for Prue when she reveals to him that she's a witch. However, what she doesn't account for is the fact that the spell also affected Piper and Phoebe. So, when Phoebe asks Prue how she truly feels about her, the quote above is Prue’s honest answer.
