The preamble letter assured us that they would put write anything they disturbed. The work has decided they could not connect to existing meter on an outside wall God knows why not. So they have installed a great big box on the front wall of the house by the front door and rooted bright big copper pipes across the along the exterior house wall and the door threshold and then into the wall the othewhich looks awful.
They also made me take off wall partitioning in the downstairs room so they could get the new piping and the meter out so I have a nice floor to ceiling breeze block. They left a bit of the old pipe in place and this has a big Earth for clipped to it. The installer says it docent matter that pipe doesn't go into the ground.and is just hanging by the Earth wire.
They said they couldn't route the gas pipe under the front step to conceal but tnight a neighbour told me they did this on their property.
Has anyone had this stuff done before?

The interior wall boarded and plastered to reinstate it and an electricians view on the dangling Erathwire.
How ever don't want to to waste the time if I haven't got a leg to stand on!
