[Women's Bowling] SXU Women's Bowling Places 5th at NAIA Tournament

Sterling Heights, Mich. – The Saint Xavier University women's bowling team started Day Two of the NAIA Women's Bowling National Championship Tournament at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich. as the No. 8 seed and finished in fifth place after losing its first match, 3-1, to No. 9 Spring Arbor University (Mich.). The Cougars rebounded in the loser's bracket, defeating No. 10 University of Tennessee Southern, 3-1, and No. 3 Baker University (Kan.), 3-1. Their run came to an end, losing to No. 1 SCAD Savannah (Ga.) 3-1. SXU made history this season, making the NAIA Tournament for the first time.
