The 10 Best TV Shows To Watch On Disney+ (Updated April 2022)
This is a golden age for content creation, and many of the streamers that are currently competing for customers have been working very hard to make sure that they have enough material to make a subscription worth it. Disney+ has been leading the charge, constantly producing new series and giving new seasons to existing ones, to make sure that there is something for everyone hungry for something new to binge.

Marvel Studios is set to premiere their biggest blockbuster endeavor, as well as new homes for Netflix's shows.
A batch of interesting documentary series has also recently been released, with some colorful celebrity personalities exploring natural phenomena around the world.
Marvel Studios is releasing what could be their most ambitious MCU project in the form of Moon Knight, with the bulk of the series being released through April. Social media reactions from press screenings have been positive so far, with fans hopeful that the show will deliver on its promise of taking the expansive cinematic universe to bolder places.
The nocturnal superhero is a fan favorite among comic book circles, with alter ego Marc Spector taking audiences on equal parts thrilling and intimate exploration of his traumatized psyche. The trailer for Moon Knight has inspired fan theories and promise, looking to blend the swashbuckling tones of Indiana Jones with the grittiness that's made him such a compelling hero in the comics. After the March 30th premiere, episodes 2-4 will release on April 6th, 13th, and 20th, respectively.
In another documentary series, Disney+ will release the series Sketchbook. This series takes an inventive twist by being an instructional docuseries, teaching fans how to illustrate iconic Disney animated characters from the talented creatives themselves, including story artist Samantha Vilfort from the recent Pixar hit Encanto.
Even more interesting is that each of the show's six episodes will star a different artist/animator that's worked on a project, with some insight into how each artist's style conveys a unique story. Sketchbook premieres on Disney+ on April 27th.
The likes of Daredevil generally made the biggest rounds on the internet when the news of these shows coming to Disney+ dropped, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a longtime fan favorite in its own right. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. consistently strong critical reception across its seven seasons and a dedicated fan following.
Particular praise went toward its character-focused stories across the show's wide cast and introducing not yet seen characters into the wider MCU. While the show's story and characters going forward in the MCU are still unclear, having Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back in one place under Disney+ should be a welcome way to bring it to more audiences.
It came as somewhat of a surprise for fans when Netflix took off their shows from the Defenders corner of the MCU, and arguably even more surprising that it skipped Hulu to go straight into Disney+. This could be an exciting prospect for the future, with Disney finally expanding their content beyond the strictly "family-friendly" scope.
While Iron Fist was poorly received, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and The Punisher received warm receptions along with Daredevil, in particular, garnering emphatic acclaim. These shows were namely were praised for being tightly-scaled crime dramas with intimate character and story arcs. This bodes well namely for Daredevil's future, but the aforementioned shows plus The Defenders have had all their seasons added to Disney+ on March 16th.
After the beloved legacy character made his triumphant return in The Mandalorian season 2, the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett gets his share of the spotlight. Fans can now watch The Book of Boba Fett in its entirety, with all seven episodes out.
While the fifth and sixth episodes were compelling Din Djarin stories with some exciting surprise character appearances, criticisms were weighed on the show for taking the already limited spotlight off of the titular bounty hunter himself. The show still managed a moderately positive critical reception overall, but portions of the fan base didn't take well to The Book of Boba Fett leaning so hard into the MCU formula.
The final episode of Hawkeye concluded in December, and now is a good time for those who haven't caught up to the latest Phase Four series to binge it at their pace. While the finale finished in a rushed and messy manner to a degree, the show did a great job of introducing Hailee Steinfeld's charming iteration of Kate Bishop and her entertaining dynamic with the Avengers veteran Clint Barton.
And though his last-minute appearance was admittedly underwhelming amid the chaos, the MCU reintroduction of one of Daredevil's strongest villains builds excitement for the future.
Jeff Goldblum has become a fan-favorite actor in his own right over the last three decades thanks to his wonderfully eccentric personality and performances. He's one of the actors who are best known in their movies for playing charming, exaggerated versions of themselves.
In Disney+ and National Geographic's The World According to Jeff Goldblum, the actor brings that charm to a docuseries peeling back the layers of scientific wonders -- with a good helping of Goldblum's brand of humor. The Jurassic Park icon's docuseries had the second part to season 2 released this January.
Like with the Jeff Goldblum-led docuseries, Will Smith injects his respective brand of endearing personality into Welcome to Earth. It's another partnership between the streamer and National Geographic and has proven to be another strong entry in Disney+'s catalog of documentaries.
In this limited series, the approach is more of a grand globetrotting adventure that explores several natural wonders from volcanoes to migratory behaviors of wild animals. The documentary was made available all at once, spanning six episodes that each tackle a different scientific phenomenon.
With the aforementioned Hawkeye out on streaming in its entirety, fans can also look forward to its latest iteration of Marvel Studios Assembled. The Making of Hawkeye edition of the ongoing behind-the-scenes documentary specials brings the likes of co-stars Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner for an in-depth look at the MCU show's production.
Fans can also see Academy Award-nominated Vera Farmiga (Eleanor Bishop) and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), as well as the series' producers on how they came together to adapt Kate Bishop's Hawkeye from the comics to live-action. The episode has been available on Disney+ since January 19th.
Young fans who grew up on Disney Channel's animated series The Proud Family can tune in for more episodes and an added dose of nostalgia on the streaming service. The reboot/revival series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder take the original cast of characters and puts them in a modern setting as they navigate their lives in the 2020s.
With the family adjusting to their lives in Smithville and returning to TV through Disney+, this first season will surely be a great and continued opportunity for new families as well.
