Umbrella Academy Season 3 Image Reveals First Look At Elliot Page's Viktor
A recent tweet from starring cast member, Elliot Page, has revealed the first look at his character, Viktor Hargreeves, in the upcoming third season of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy. Premiering in February 2019 on the streaming service, the series immediately received critical acclaim from both streamers and critics alike, primarily praising the performances of the cast, the tone of the series, the cinematography, and the writing. After the first two successful seasons, the show's third season is currently set to premiere on June 22, 2022.
The Umbrella Academy follows a group of super-powered, adopted siblings, who were all simultaneously born on October 1, 1989, as they are forced to work together to solve the mystery of their adoptive father's death and stop an imminent apocalypse that threatens the world's existence, amongst other supernatural ventures. Joining Page within the show's star-studded cast includes the likes of Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves, David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Klaus Hargreeves, and Aidan Gallagher as Five Hargreeves. Page starred as Vanya Hargreeves, a character who has been confirmed as transgender and who is set to follow a similar experience to Page.
Netflix has given audiences their first look at the actor as Viktor Hargreeves, the White Violin, in a retweet of Page's post. The image posted showcases the new character in a seemingly normal diner setting, looking off into the distance at something that appears to concern him. The streaming service captioned the tweet as a welcome to Viktor as he joins the family. View the tweet below:

After Page's public announcement that he was transgender back in December 2020, many fans of the show wondered how the writers would approach his character in the series. There were past reports that they could have possibly just continued with Vanya Hargreeves without anything outside of the show's universe affecting the journies of these characters. With the swift announcement that Page would continue to star in the series, many believed that Vanya would simply continue without any update from the writers.
With this sudden reveal and announcement, it is now confirmed that, rightly so, Page's character received an update that made him much more similar to the actor in true life, also adding to the actor's comfort level within the role. Furthermore, this change opens the doors for extremely interesting storylines within this new season and can help to put Viktor in the spotlight with this hopefully very relatable storyline in a show that features such odd events. Either way, fans are even more hyped now for The Umbrella Academy season 3 to release later this year.
