Nina Dobrev Talks Personal Connection to Alopecia, Reacts to Will Smith Moment at Oscars

Nina Dobrev is speaking out with her reaction to Will Smith‘s Oscars slap and to share her personal connection to alopecia.

Will got on stage at the 2022 Oscars and slapped presenter Chris Rock in the face after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith‘s bald head. If you didn’t know, she suffers from alopecia and has been very open about it.

Nina took to her Instagram Stories on early Tuesday morning (March 29) to share her reaction.

“Someone in MY immediate family suffers from Alopecia. So with that, here are my thoughts,” Nina began her note.

She continued, “I like Chris, a lot. I didn’t like the joke. At all. I hope he’s okay.”

“I like Will, a lot. I didn’t like his behavior. I don’t condone his violence. At all. I hope he’s okay,” she said.

Nina concluded, “I like Jada a lot, hearing a joke at the expense of something you can’t control doesn’t feel good. People poking fun at your disease is not okay. At all. I hope she’s okay.”

Nina‘s boyfriend Shaun White was at the Oscars as a presenter, but there’s a reason why she didn’t join him.
