The Sun revealed Ten Hag was the most likely appointment, and he was interviewed for the role last week.
It now appears his job to lose with United keen to have the appointment rubber-stamped before the end of the season.
Roberto Mancini’s price was cut from 50/1 into 16/1 but he has drifted out again to 25/1.
Luis Enrique is fourth favourite behind Tuchel at 12/1 with Antonio Conte and Julen Lopetegui both priced at 20/1.
Interim boss Ralph Rangnick is now firmly seen as an outsider at 33/1.
Ajax technical chief has hinted Ten Hag could depart the club this summer, saying ‘that’s how the world works’.
He said: “It would be fantastic if he is still Ajax’s coach next season.
“He still has an ongoing contract with Ajax but we also all know how the world works.
“Erik is a professional and focuses on this season himself, on the important months ahead in which the prizes will be distributed.
“The future will tell, but it is clear that Erik is very important for Ajax.”

United face an uphill battle to finish in the top four and reach the Champions League for next season.
They currently sit sixth and four points behind Arsenal who have a game in hand.
United face Leicester this weekend before a difficult looking end to April and start to March with Liverpool and Arsenal both away and then Chelsea at home in three of their final six games of the campaign.
Paul Pogba has already called the season ‘dead’ due to their inability to win a trophy after they were dumped out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid.
