Multiple law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with several East Bay robberies.
In a statement Tuesday, Fremont police identified Joshua Moss-Sanders, 19, as a suspect with three warrants for his arrest in two armed robberies last year, as well as for parole violation. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and the state corrections department are also seeking him, police said.

In one robbery around 5:25 p.m. Aug. 29, 2021, Moss-Sanders tried to rob a person at gunpoint in the 37300 block of Fremont Boulevard.
The person suffered minor injuries while resisting, Fremont police Det. Michael Gebhardt said. During their struggle, the gun’s magazine fell, spilling rounds onto the ground later recovered by investigators.
Moss-Sanders is also sought in connection with the Oct. 22, 2021, gunpoint robbery of a 7-Eleven, 1988 167th Ave.
He is described as 5-foot-11 and about 165 pounds, and sports multiple distinctive tattoos. On his face, the word “jackboy” show along his left jawline, with the “o” appearing to be a ski mask; the names “Ashley” and “Edina Mae” appear over his right and left eyes, while other words appear in red ink along his right jawline. On his right forearm, a tattoo shows a person wearing a ski mask over the phrase “the jack.”
Police said they believe Moss-Sanders uses multiple identification cards, knows he is wanted in connection with the robberies and has tossed firearms out vehicle windows in order to avoid arrest during previous police pursuits.
