Man Utd star Paul Pogba ‘will need to take HUGE pay cut to make Juventus free transfer this summer’ as deal runs down
JUVENTUS cannot afford Paul Pogba’s wage demands, according to reports.
And that could rule the Italian giants out of bringing the midfielder back to the Allianz Stadium in a major boost for Manchester United.
The Frenchman, 29, is out of contract in the summer at Old Trafford and can negotiate with foreign clubs over a free transfer.
However, one of the teams heavily linked with landing him has been his former club Juventus.
But according to Calciomercato, they can only afford to offer Pogba £8million per season – or £154,000 per week.
That is little more than half his current £15m-a-year deal at United which works out as £290,000 a week.

The news comes despite Juve knocking Cristiano Ronaldo off the wage bill last summer and Paulo Dybala following him out of the exit door at the end of this season.
There is a chance Juventus could try and convince Pogba to slash his wages with a major wage cut to rejoin – but that seems unlikely.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain remain the frontrunners for the World Cup winner’s signature with Barcelona, Newcastle and even Aston Villa all linked, too.
But Pogba has not ruled out another contract U-turn which could see him stay with the Red Devils, despite their complete lack of silverware for five years.

Speaking on international duty, the 91-cap France star said: “I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven’t won a title. It’s sad.
“The season is not over yet, but almost because we don’t have any more titles to play for.
“Nothing is decided on my future, nothing is done.
“I can decide tomorrow, just as I can decide during the transfer window.
“There were difficult moments at United and I needed this [international] break to regain my energy and confidence.
“Sometimes when I wasn’t playing or the results weren’t good, coming here, it gives a boost, a breath of air that also helps me to come back well to my club.”
