FRANCE made it seven international wins in a row after cruising past South Africa at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe scored twice in the 5-0 rout against the African nation, who finished the game with ten men.

Les Bleus forward Mbappe has now banged in nine goals for Didier Deschamps’ side in his last five matches.

And he scored his first against the 2010 World Cup hosts in emphatic fashion with a beautiful curling strike into the top right corner.

Mbappe picked up the ball on the edge of the box, before quickly whipping an effort into the back of the net to break the deadlock.

He then doubled his tally for the night from the penalty spot in the 76th minute.

Prior to his second, AC Milan ace Olivier Giroud got on the score sheet to make it 2-0 just after the half hour mark.

It was his 48th goal for France on his 112th appearance, which leaves him three shy of equalling Thierry Henry’s all-time France scoring record.

Monaco marksman Wissam Ben Yedder then added a fourth from point-blank range in the 81st minute.

Just three minutes later, South Africa were reduced to ten men after Khuliso Mudau was shown a straight red card for a strong challenge on Lucas Digne.

And France punished the visitors with their extra man advantage as Matteo Guendouzi curled home from outside the box in the 92nd minute.

It was the ex-Arsenal midfielder’s first goal for France in what was a reminder to Mikel Arteta at what he is missing.

World Cup holders France have now not lost since they were knocked out of Euro 2020 in the last-16 by Switzerland on penalties last year.
