The Split filming locations: Where is series 3 of the BBC drama filmed?
HIT BBC One show The Split is back for one final series.
Filming for season 3 kicked off in June 2021 for one last time.
Where is The Split set?
The Split is set in London and focuses on lives of the Defoe family.
Speaking to the BBC, creator Abi Morgan previously said of the show’s London setting: “A lawyer I spoke to early on introduced the idea that London is the divorce capital of the world.
“One of the reasons for that had been instigated by a woman called Blanche Lucas, one of the first divorce lawyers who advocated for women not only to get alimony and a share of the house, but to get a lump sum of money.
“It is an acknowledgement of how much they may have given in a relationship to supporting a man’s career.

“She was known as ‘Lump Sum Lucas’ and was very famous in the Eighties.
“It triggered a number of people choosing to be divorced in the UK because it was so friendly to the spouse who had contributed to the marriage in ways other than income.”

Goldie and Davey live in the Wentworth Estate in Virginia Water.
Virginia Water is a commuter town in Surrey with a population of around 6,000.
The Wentworth Estate is the home of the Wentworth Golf Club which hosted the very first Ryder Cup.

London landmarks
The Split was filmed at Millennium Bridge and Hungerford Bridge in London.
The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension footbridge which crosses the Thames and opened in 2000.
Londoners nicknamed the bridge the “Wobbly Bridge” so it was closed for two years to carry out modifications before re-opening in 2002.
Hungerford Bridge also crossed the River Thames and is located between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge.
It is a steel truss railway bridge and allows a clear view of the south facade of St. Paul’s cathedral.
