Ezra Miller Confronted By Hawaii Police Weeks Before Arrest
Ezra Miller, best known for their roles in The Flash and Fantastic Beast franchises, was confronted by Hawaii police weeks before their arrest. The 29-year old actor has gotten into a new scandal as of March 2022. Earlier this week, reports came out that Miller had been arrested by local police in Hilo, Hawaii, at a karaoke bar. While Miller posted $500 bail and has since been released, the actor was taken in by law enforcement due to disorderly conduct and harassment. Per the initial reports, tension was built up after Miller had yelled "obscenities" at a 23-year-old woman while having also lunged at a 32-year old man that was playing darts.
This public incident comes almost two years after the controversial video surfaced of Miller choking a young woman outside a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. While Miller was never arrested or placed in custody in April 2020, the actor was escorted off the bar's premises. The woman in the video also never pressed any charges against Miller, and nothing came out of that. While the Hilo arrest is the first time since 2020 that Miller has gotten into hot water, it appears this was only the second time Hawaii police got involved with the actor.
Following the news of Miller's arrest, a new video, obtained by TMZ, shows the Justice League star in another dispute that took place earlier this month. This time, Miller was seen trying to enter a different bar in Hawaii but was constantly prevented from doing so. According to TMZ, Miller had just been kicked out of a different establishment on the same street, which was why they weren't allowed to enter the one seen in the video. The footage shows Miller discussing with a female staffer who wouldn't let them in. The tension got so high that the worker eventually had to physically push Miller from entering. Since the audio was missing during the moments shown between the worker and the DCEU star, it's unclear what was said by either one of them. While multiple police officers came to the scene, Miller was reportedly asked to leave the premise before being given a trespass warning. However, unlike the event that took place on March 27, Miller was never arrested. So far, neither Miller, their representatives, nor Warner Bros. has publicly spoken about both reports. In addition to that, none of the people that were part of both events have spoken to the press.
Miller will next be seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, where they are reprising the role of Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore. The Flash film, which was initially slated to be released in theaters this November, got delayed till June 23, 2023. With both of these police incidents, it remains to be seen if Miller will face any consequences from Warner Bros. Given that these reports have only just now become public, it might be some time until anything is said by The Flash actor, or Warner Bros.
