College Park 4, No. 2 Clayton Valley Charter 0

College Park’s baseball team started Tuesday’s Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division game against Clayton Valley Charter with a four-run first inning.

That was all the run support College Park’s pitchers needed.

​​Starter Nihar Pasupuleti allowed only three hits in 3 ⅓ innings. UCLA-bound Mikey Barnett pitched 3 ⅔ innings in relief and struck out seven against the Bay Area News Group’s second-ranked team.

Brogan Rattary, Diego Emerling and Xavier Guillen combined for four RBIs for the Falcons, extending their winning streak to four games and improving to 7-4, 3-2.

After a tough non-league schedule, the Falcons are heating up.

“We’re just clicking,” Barnett said. “We’re all coming together as a group and fighting for each other. We got it done. We played at the skill level we know we can reach.”

Clayton Valley dropped to 8-2, 3-2.

The teams will play again Thursday at College Park.

No. 3 Archbishop Mitty 6, Archbishop Riordan 1

Archbishop Mitty’s Antonio Cabrera struck out eight through six innings on the road against Archbishop Riordan in West Catholic Athletic League play.

Jarren Advincula went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Monarchs.

Mitty improved to 7-4, 3-2. Riordan fell to 6-7, 1-5.

No. 5 Valley Christian 5, Bellarmine 5 (tie)

Valley Christian and Bellarmine tied as the game had to be called off because of darkness after stretching to the 11th inning.

Both teams scored one run in the 10th inning to keep the game going. Thomas Trombatore knocked in three runs for Bellarmine. Valley Christian’s Easton Kreshel went 2 for 5 with one RBI.

Valley Christian is 9-3-1, 4-1-1. Bellarmine is 9-4-1, 3-2-1.

No. 13 Heritage 6, Lowell 3

Ryan Wheeler had three hits and Anthony Potestio drove in two runs to lead Heritage into the semifinals of the South San Francisco Spring Classic.

Heritage (6-5) will play Washington-San Francisco on Thursday.

Lowell fell to 5-6.

No. 11 Sacred Heart Cathedral 9, No. 12 Serra 6

SHC scored eight runs in the fourth inning at home to turn back Serra in a WCAL game.

Ivan Herrera and Justin Tapia each had two RBIs for the Fightin’ Irish. Tyler Peruzzaro hit a home run for the Padres.

SHC improved to 8-3-1, 2-3. Serra dropped to 8-7, 1-5.

Liberty 8, No. 15 Pittsburg 1

Liberty remained undefeated in Bay Valley Athletic League play behind a strong pitching performance by Cole Ehrhorn, who struck out nine against host Pittsburg.

Landon Shaddle had three RBIs off one hit for the Lions (8-4, 3-0).

Pittsburg dropped 11-2, 0-1.

Softball

No. 3 Archbishop Mitty 8, Salinas 1

Sophomore Corri Hicks had one of the best performances of her young career, hitting two home runs and driving in six on the road for the Monarchs.

Mitty is 11-0. Salinas dropped to 8-4.

No. 4 Granada 11, Liberty 1

Granada improved to 10-0 in a home non-league victory against Liberty. Madison Hom and Makayla Winchell each had three RBIs for the Matadors. Sierra Black pitched a complete game, only allowing one hit.

Liberty fell to 1-7.

No. 5 Livermore 9, Amador Valley 0

Livermore’s Taylor Rodriguez has been dominant in the circle all season but also showed how dangerous she can be with the bat.

Rodriguez went 3 for 3 with a solo home run in front of the home crowd against East Bay Athletic League opponent Amador Valley (6-3, 1-1).

 Alizabeth Ruiz and Taylor Rapp combined for five RBIs for Livermore (7-1-1, 3-1).

No. 18 San Ramon Valley 1, Albany 0 (8 innings)

Marissa Leary hit a go-ahead double in the eighth inning to give San Ramon Valley (8-5) a road win over Albany (4-5) in a non-league game.
