Bachelorette: Andi Dorfman Gets Engaged To Boyfriend Blaine Hart
Former lead of The Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, recently revealed that she and her boyfriend Blaine Hart have gotten engaged during a magical proposal on the beach. After she was the Bachelorette, Andi has been tight lipped about her love life, but she couldn’t wait to share the good news about her engagement. Though her road to love has been rough, Andi said on Instagram that Blaine was definitely “worth the wait.”
Andi was the easy pick to be the Bachelorette in season 10 after she epically called out lead Juan Pablo Galavis and self-eliminated on his season of The Bachelor. Her season was full of twists, turns, and cupcakes, but ultimately Andi's final two choices were Nick Viall and Josh Murray. Andi chose Josh and the couple got engaged in the finale. But their relationship wasn’t healthy, and Andi and Josh called off their engagement after about five months. Since then, she hasn’t shared much about her love life until December last year, when Andi finally went Instagram official with her boyfriend Blaine, who she described as her “favorite thing from 2021.”
Now, the couple has taken the next step in their relationship, and People reports that Blaine proposed to Andi in a beautiful scene on the beach at sunset. Andi said the proposal was “really great and intimate," and that Blaine completely caught her off guard when he popped the question. “I just remember hugging him and crying. I didn't even remember seeing the ring at first,” Andi revealed. But that’s not where the surprises ended. Blaine told Andi they would be staying in a hotel that night and needed to go home to back an overnight bag. But when Andi opened the door, “both of our families and my closest friends were there to surprise me. That's when I really started bawling."
After all the heartache Andi’s experienced, it’s no surprise how thrilled (and probably relieved) she is to be engaged to a man she loves so much. “Blaine visited my parents in Atlanta to ask both of them for their blessing and even called my sister to ask for hers as well,” Andi gushed. “That just epitomizes the kind of man Blaine is." Andi was impressed with the work Blaine put into his proposal, and it’s clear that Blaine understands the things that are truly important to Andi. Though Andi feels a little overwhelmed at the thought of wedding planning, that’s not to say she doesn’t have a few ideas. “We would love to do a wedding in Italy where we rekindled our relationship last summer," she commented.
Despite her rocky time as lead of The Bachelorette, fans are happy to hear that Andi finally found love. Her fellow Bachelor Nation alum were quick to congratulate her, and former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams, Trista Sutter, Rachel Lindsay, and JoJo Fletcher were just some of the franchise’s stars to wish Andi and Blaine all the best.
