Love Is Blind: Giannina Says Why She Keeps Rumored BF Blake A Secret
For months, fans of Love is Blind and The Bachelor franchise have suspected that Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann are dating, and Giannina just revealed why she won’t go Instagram official with her “mystery” boyfriend. The couple haven’t gone public, but they haven’t exactly kept their relationship a secret either. One day they may decide to tell the world about their relationship, but in the meantime, fans feel they have all the proof they need.
On Love is Blind season 1, Giannina fell in love with Damian Powers and they got engaged in the pods. However, on their wedding day, Damian said no at the altar and broke Giannina's heart. Meanwhile, on another popular dating show, The Bachelorette, Blake had his proposal turned down by lead Becca Kufrin. Blake earned a bit of a bad boy reputation on Bachelor in Paradise but has been attempting to rehab his image. However, in January this year, the worlds of The Bachelor and Love is Blind collided as dating rumors emerged between the two.
Giannina and Blake have been going to a lot of the same restaurants, bars, and events, and recently both took a trip to Rome and have been sharing footage of their trip on social media. Their photos and videos on Instagram weren’t very subtle, and though Giannina and Blake were careful not to share each other’s faces, it’s obvious that this was a couple’s trip. A fan inquired about who the mystery man in her photos is and Giannina cryptically responded, “I can’t officially post him rn, because we did project together that hasn’t been announced yet.”
Giannina didn’t elaborate on what kind of project she and her "John Doe"—cough, cough, Blake—were involved in, but she did comment that when she’s able, she’ll reveal more. In the meantime Giannina is “really happy to be sharing these moments together in private for now.” With all the clues Blake and Giannina have let slip on Instagram, their secrecy is clearly just a technicality. Still, there are up sides to building a relationship away from the public eye, and the couple may benefit from keeping their romance under wraps. However, after all the heartache the two have endured, it’s encouraging to hear that they’ve found love off camera.
Clearly, the Love is Blind and Bachelorette stars aren’t ready to go public with their relationship, but it’s their decision to make. However, the fact that they collaborated on a project together is new information. There’s no telling what kind of project it is, but it could be music related, given Blake’s new passion for DJing. Perhaps one day the couple will go Instagram official, but for now Giannina and Blake are content to tease fans with their secret relationship.
