“A family man, he was a loyal friend, and loved them deeply,” a representative for the family explained.
“With a roaring sense of humor, larger-than-life personality, and a practical problem-solver, he lived his life to the fullest.
“Mr. Huber who formerly raced motorcycles in Austria was a first-rate skier, and avid golfer, belonging to the Garden City Golf Club and Westhampton Country Club.”

Helmut is survived by the All My Children star, as well as two sons, two daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The family has asked that instead of flowers, contributions be made to the American Stroke Association in support of stroke awareness and research.
Susan’s family offered a statement through her publicist, Jessica Sciacchitano, reading: “Helmut’s passing is a tremendous loss for all who knew and loved him. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
“The family kindly asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”

LONG LIFE LIVED
Helmut was born in 1937 and became a U.S. citizen in January of 1994.
He led an illustrious career in entertainment, once operating as Susan’s manager and also as the CEO of Pine Valley Productions.
As a young man, Huber was asked to join the Austrian Ski Team but instead chose to follow an apprenticeship at the Hotel Maria Theresia.
He later graduated at the top of his class at L’Ecole Hoteliere in Lausanne, Switzerland.
SUSAN’S HEALTH SCARE
Just one month before her husband’s death, Susan Lucci was in the hospital recently to undergo a heart procedure for the second time.
The actress had to undergo surgery for heart failure after she was previously rushed to the emergency room in 2019 for another scare.
Lucci told Good Morning America she had experienced the same symptoms as the last time including shortness of breath and discomfort around her back and her ribcage.
“I thought, ‘This is crazy. These are the same kind of symptoms that I had three years ago but it can’t be,'” she said.
“But when I lay down, I started to feel a sharp coming-and-going pain in my jaw.”
After calling her doctor who told her to go to the hospital, Lucci was told she had an 80 percent blockage in one of her arteries.
The cause, she said, was plaque buildup.
Dr. Richard Schlofmitz, who is the chairman of cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York, performed the surgery on Lucci and put another stent in her heart.
