Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Vanderpump's 10 Most Iconic Quotes

0

There's been much speculation on whether or not season 10 of Vanderpump Rules would be a good idea based on all the recent breakups of many of the show's main stars. It would be sad to see it go, especially to say goodbye to the woman who started it all. From her wardrobe to her business savviness to her estate Villa Rosa, home to her two swans Hanky and Panky who casually wade in the pond out front, the reality television star and restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump is one of those women who's so accomplished, fans can't help but ask themselves what can't she do.

Previously known for some of her best episodes of RHOBH, Lisa Vanderpump brings her star power and unique personality to Vanderpump Rules. Throughout the show, has a way of communicating with her employees in both an authoritative way that they respect and a friendly and funny way that makes her more human. Whether it's keeping her employees in line or making a sarcastic comment, she's tough yet kind, making some of her moments in the hit reality series memorable and iconic. The way she walks, and more specifically talks, oozes the word boss.

This line comes in the very first episode of the series in response to one of the servers, Stassi, telling Lisa that she knows the SUR menu like the back of her hand.

It sets up the kind of personality Lisa portrays throughout Vanderpump Rules' best episodes of its nine-season stint. She's not afraid of dealing with a little attitude mostly because she's certainly not afraid to dish it back. She's the kind of boss that will ensure her employees put their money where their mouth is.

Lisa says this to James, a Vanderpump Rules star known for going too far, as he attempts to apologize for yet again making a scene in one of her restaurants. She says this in direct reply to him explaining that he's winning right now and people are trying to knock him down.

It almost becomes a theme for Lisa and James to have a reprimanding sit-down. The fact that she's given him so many chances shows she cares. This is her leveling with James, bringing him back down to earth and reminding him of who he is, something that's important for anyone to remember especially those in the public eye.

Lisa understands that most of her employees have other career goals in mind. She says many of them want to be actresses or models or artists and that serving is a way to make ends meet.

This quote, which comes in the series premiere, tells the audience that she's a business woman first. Throughout the series she maintains a good balance between authoritative and teasing, driving home the point that they really are a kind of family, but she spends a lot of time reminding them that they represent her company and that it's important they care about SUR too.

On the soft opening of TomTom, Lisa was able to relax and enjoy herself as the party proved to be a success. This comment comes on the morning after when fans are shown a montage of her sipping drink after drink at the party.

This one is iconic because it shows that while she's more than capable of dishing the comic relief, she's able to laugh at herself too. A good boss can tell a joke, but an iconic boss can also make herself the butt of one.

Lisa says this to Stassi, one of the most popular OG Vanderpump Rules cast members, after she left behind SUR and all of her friends only to come back to apologize for her swift exit and for bad-mouthing her former boss.

This line is almost as heartbreaking as it is scary to watch considering how close their relationship once was. This is as real as Lisa Vanderpump gets. She's not afraid to stand up for herself and she's not afraid to get a little personal.

During a business meeting, Lisa says this to two employees, and the last bit is directed at her husband Ken Todd. Once again, Lisa knows how to bring the humor.

It's light and witty, but it's also a comment about knowing her own worth. She knows she's full of ideas and isn't afraid to say it. Fans get the sense that it's this confidence that is one of her greatest assets and probably drives much of her success.

In the season 7 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, Tom and Tom are thrilled to be given the responsibility of coming up with the cocktail list for their new restaurant. But Lisa is disappointed with how long it's taken them to finish the task, so she's handed it over to her daughter Pandora.

She sees them as over-zealous puppies who want to wow the crowd with their cocktail creations. She says this line to emphasize their capacity for creativity, which she supports. But because she's the boss she still needs to see results.

Lisa offered up these words of wisdom to Tom Schwartz as a way for him to look at a fight within his marriage from a different perspective.

While her ability to spin a joke is a huge part of what makes her fun to watch as a boss, she does have moments of real reflection and empathy too. She really seems to care about her employees and often offers sage advice based on what she's experienced in her life.

In the series premiere "Welcome to SUR," Lisa says this while pouring an entire bottle of wine into an enormous wine glass and then proceeds to ask for a straw.

She's smart and savvy, but she's also silly and down to earth. She gives the impression that while it takes grit and determination to have run 36 restaurants - after all, this quote does come while in the middle of a chef tasting - she's still easygoing and never too busy for a laugh.

In season 5, Lisa sits down with Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz to tell them her decision on officiating their wedding. She agrees that she'll do it and the three share a heartfelt, intimate moment. Of course, in Lisa's fun-loving way she breaks the moment by asking Schwartz this hilarious question.

Not only is it funny and a good callback to an earlier season when Tom Schwartz drunkenly tattooed his fiancee's nickname on his butt, but it shows how she can turn any situation into something humorous. She's very much a teasing mother to her employees and it's sweet to watch.
