Ray Fisher Reacts To Zack Snyder's Justice League Oscars Fan-Favorite Win

0

Ray Fisher reacts to Zack Snyder's Justice League's Oscars Fan-Favorite win by demanding an apology from DC Films President Walter Hamada. Fisher starred in the DC Extended Universe superhero epic as Victor tone, a former college football star quarterback who was in a car accident that left his mom dead and him in critical condition, with his S.T.A.R. Labs scientist father Silas electing to use one of the powerful Mother Boxes to transform his son into a cybernetic being to save his life. Victor must use his new abilities of flight, technopathy and weaponry to assist Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash in stopping Steppenwolf from terraforming the Earth into Apokolips for his tyrannical master, Darkseid.

Alongside Fisher, the ensemble cast for Zack Snyder's Justice League included Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon and Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf. The extended version of the DCEU film came after a heated fan movement campaigned for the restoration of Snyder's original vision after Joss Whedon was brought in to re-write and reshoot much of it for the theatrical version, which was a critical and commercial disappointment. Zack Snyder's Justice League went on to score generally positive reviews from critics and rave reviews from audiences, the former of whom praised his direction and improved depth and character development while still aiming criticism at its lengthy runtime.

In honor of the film's award at the ceremony, Ray Fisher took to Twitter to react to Zack Snyder's Justice League's Oscars Fan-Favorite win. The star elected to celebrate the win by demanding that DC Films President Walter Hamada issue an apology to those involved with the investigation into the film's troubled production. Fisher's time during the production of Justice League is one of the more infamous tales in Hollywood when the actor came out with allegations leveled at Whedon for "abusive" and "unprofessional" behavior, which was more or less supported by his co-stars in the years since, as well as other former Whedon collaborators. WarnerMedia's investigation into the matter resulted in "remedial action", with Whedon having since come out in defense of his time on Justice League, criticizing the cast as "rude" and labelling Fisher himself as a "bad actor." The Cyborg actor has also since responded to Whedon's accusations, criticizing the filmmaker for his delay in responding to the allegations that came out against him.

While Fisher has directed most of his criticisms from the set towards Whedon, he also hasn't been shy about sharing his frustrations regarding Hamada's handling of the matter, having previously stated he refuses to work in any production associated with the exec. However, much like his newest comments regarding Zack Snyder's Justice League Oscars Fan-Favorite win, Fisher has expressed an openness to returning as Cyborg as long as Hamada and Warner Bros. were to issue an apology for their actions. While audiences await a hopeful conclusion to the feud, they can catch up with Zack Snyder's Justice League available to stream on HBO Max now.
