Coronation Street fans disgusted as Imran Habeeb destroys Toyah Battersby’s chance of adopting Elsie
CORONATION Street fans are disgusted with Imran Habeeb for betraying Toyah Battersby and destroying her dreams of adopting foster daughter Elsie.
The solicitor – who is played by actor Charlie de Melo in the ITV soap – was almost exposed as being Abi Franklin’s son Alfie’s father tonight.
Viewers know he has been helping Abi to gain custody of their son so he can have everything – Alfie, Toyah and their foster daughter Elsie.
However tonight when the court ruled against Abi, Imran was devastated.
And seeing how hard he took it, Toyah began to question why he was taking it so personally.
Instead of coming clean, he lied to Toyah and said he would drop Abi as a client.

Toyah then let it slip to Abi who banned Imran from seeing Alfie in the hospital – forcing him to confront her with a drastic plan.
Storming into her flat he told he would find her a new solicitor – but then realised how he could ensure baby Alfie grows up with his parents.
“I will put my name on the birth certificate,” he said.
“Then that way no-one else will ever be able to take him away because I can claim custody as his father. I’m going to do it.”
But as Abi pointed out that would mean him losing the chance to adopt Elsie as well as threaten his career over the conflict of interests, he didn’t care.

“It doesn’t matter,” he told her.
“It’s like I’ve told you before – my son comes first and he always will.”
Viewers were completely disgusted with his behaviour.
One wrote: “C’mon Toyah. Can you really not see what’s going on with Imran and the baby?!”
A second said: “Imran is an idiot.”
