TEEN Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans’ outspoken mother Barbara hasn’t appeared on MTV in three years after the entire family was fired from the show.
See what Barbara has been up to since she stepped out of the spotlight.
Barbara, 68, rose to fame while appearing alongside her daughter Jenelle, 30, on 16 & Pregnant.
The mother-daughter duo went on to star on Teen Mom 2, which documented Barbara regularly dealing with Jenelle’s drama.
Barbara shares Jenelle with ex-husband Robert, who she was married to from 1984 to 1996.
While Barbara doesn’t frequently update her social media accounts, Jenelle has shared updates about her mom over the years.

The MTV stars made headlines over their very public custody battle for Jenelle’s oldest son Jace, 12.
Barbara used to have primary physical and legal custody of Jace, as Jenelle has visitation with him every other weekend, after she signed over custody of her son to her mother in June 2010.
FAMILY REUNION
While Barbara and Jenelle’s strained relationship was documented on the show, they appeared to put their differences aside when they celebrated Christmas together in December 2020.
Jenelle took to Instagram to share various photos, one of which was in black and white and featured her mom with her kids.

In the photos, Barbara was embraced by Jenelle’s kids: Jace, Kaiser, seven, and Ensley, five, as well as husband David Eason’s daughter, Maryssa, from a previous relationship.
Jenelle captioned it: “When you tell your mom to come take #ChristmasPhotos and she shows up in this sweater.
“Love it! #ChristmasSpirit award goes to @barbara0230!”
Barbara also shared the photos on her own Instagram account, writing: “Happy Holidays.”
FIGHTING FAMILY
However, the family members didn’t remain of the best of terms for long.
In North Carolina court papers obtained by The Sun, Jenelle filed for sole custody of her troubled son on January 28, 2021.
More drama ensued between Jenelle and Barbara that same month when the young mother filed an emergency petition for custody of her son.
Jenelle told The Sun in 2021 that the fight with her mother Barbara over custody of Jace left their relationship broken beyond repair.
BLAMING BABS
In an exclusive 2021 interview, Jenelle told The Sun that the legal battle over her oldest son has broken any chance of reconciling with her mom.
She said: “Things have been pretty rocky at her house with Jace for the past two years.
“There hasn’t been a major change. We agreed for Jace to live with me and she took back her word like a week later.”
The mother of three added Jace has had behavioral issues while living with Barbara.
The Sun previously reported that Jace allegedly started fires while in his grandmother’s care.
As of June 2021, Jenelle revealed she regained custody of Jace.
While Jenelle said she will probably not ever repair her relationship with her mother, she plans to “continue to let Jace have a relationship with her.”
The TV personality added: “They’ve been together for such a long time, and I don’t want to be petty and be petty against Jace just because I have something against my mom.”
LEANING ON MOM
Despite Jenelle’s claims that she would never get along with Barbara again, the pair recently reunited as the mother of three has been dealing with health issues.
After the mom of three revealed her diagnosis of fibromyalgia- followed by her confession of undergoing further tests for ALS – her relationship with Barbara appears to have improved.
The pair were seen out sharing a cup of coffee in a sweet slide posted to Jenelle’s Instagram Stories.

Barbara wore a patterned hooded top which contrasted her brunette hair in the post, while she appeared more than happy to pose for a selfie.
She flashed a smile as she held up her mug, with the phrase “Main Character Energy” emblazoned on the front.
