Who are singer H.E.R.’s parents?

Gabriella Wilson – also known as H.E.R. – was born to Agnes and Kenny Wilson.

Her mother is a Filipina American, and her father is Black.

Kenny was once a member of a local California-based band, Urban Bushmen.

Meanwhile, Agnes is a nurse who often works with rehabilitated patients.

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Gabriella spoke of her mother in an interview with ABC Audio.

“It’s still very scary for me being so far away from her and being that she still has to go to the hospital,” the Grammy-winning singer said at the time.

“Just keep her in your prayers and hopefully, we’ll be united soon.”

Gabriella continued: “We’re just thankful, there [are] some people that are going out of their way volunteering.

“There’s so much limited supply and limited health care workers and thanks to you for all that you do.”

Who is H.E.R.?

Born on June 27, 1997, Gabriella Wilson is a professional singer and songwriter.

Before gaining notability as H.E.R, the now-24-year-old rose to fame while participating in Radio Disney’s The Next BIG Thing in 2009.

She signed to RCA Records at the age of 14.

In 2016, Gabriella re-emerged into the industry as H.E.R. and has released five albums since.

With a total of 21 Grammy nominations, Gabriella has taken home four of the coveted prizes.

H.E.R. is pronounced “her,” and is an acronym that stands for Having Everything Revealed.

“I did exactly what I wanted to do, and that’s: make people focus on the music,” Gabriella said via LA Times.

“People are coming to my shows not to see what I look like, but to connect with my music.”
