SIR RICHARD BRANSON has launched a new global campaign to change the way people see dyslexia- and he’s got some big Hollywood support.

The Virgin Group Founder, 71, has been backed by fellow famous dyslexics such as Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley for the game-changing campaign.

Launching today (March 31), Dyslexic Thinking is a new initiative led by Richard and the charity, Made By Dyslexia.

The aim of the campaign is to show how the learning disability does not need to hold anyone back – in fact it can be a superpower.

Part of the campaign will see global business networking platform LinkedIn add ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ as a skillset on its website.

Richard exclusively tells The Sun: “My dyslexic thinking has been a positive force in my career.

“Thanks to the campaigning work of Made By Dyslexia, it’s a major step forward for LinkedIn to add ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ to its recognised skills list.

“Hopefully, employers and recruiters around the world will see exactly how valuable this perspective is when building an inclusive workplace. Dictionary.com has also agreed to add ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ as a new term, which gives us all a chance to reframe what it means to be dyslexic.”

The entrepreneur’s goal to make business see dyslexia as an advantage in the workplace has been backed by a host of successful people with the condition.

These include space scientist Maggie Aderin-Pocock, Soho House Founder Nick Jones, the UK’s youngest award-winning Vegan Chef Omari McQueen, movie stars Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, and world-renowned ballet dancer Darcey Bussell.

“Without curiosity, innovation would not exist,” Richard adds. “Dyslexic Thinking has been responsible for some of the biggest leaps mankind has ever made, from the light bulb to the motor car, the aeroplane to our exploration of space.

“So, it’s about time we redefined what it stands for. I’m proud to be a Dyslexic Thinker.”
