The Italian team and driver reunite for the full-season attack off the back of an impressive series debut last year, with third at Spa-Francorchamps preceding the Am class win to finish the season at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Gorini brings with him experience founded from the Porsche Cayman Cup, Lamborghini Supertrofeo, VdeV and Blancpain GT3. A 24 Hours of Spa Am-class podium finisher with second place in 2013, Gorini is looking to add the GT2 European Series Am honours to his achievements. “I am very excited to participate in the series for a full season in 2022 with LP Racing,” he said. “We all look forward to some great results!”

Pirri, together with SRO CEO Stephane Ratel taking a trio of second-place finishes and four podiums to finish on the cusp of the top three standings.
Gorini’s entry marks the outfit’s increased commitment to the Series, with the #18 Audi R8 LMS GT2 Am entry for Michael Doppelmayr and Elia Erhart also confirmed this week.
“We are very happy to have Leonardo racing with us for a full season this year,” said Team Principal, Pirri. “Last year we had the pleasure of having him in Spa and Paul Ricard, where he scored podiums and won the Am class, finishing second overall at Paul Ricard. Leonardo is a very quick and reliable driver and a great person to work with. We very much looking forward to this season with him.”
