Ranvir Singh breaks silence after being pulled off Good Morning Britain as she updates viewers on return
GOOD Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh has revealed why she disappeared from screens during the show.
The TV star was pulled off air on Tuesday after Richard Madeley voiced fears over her appearance.
Viewers said it looked like she had been crying and Ranvir, 44, put it down to a bad bout of hay fever after suffering puffy cheeks and red-rimmed eyes.
Updating fans on Twitter today, she said she’d finally had a diagnosis and revealed: “Thanks for all the guidance on my streaming sore eyes this week!
“It was an allergic reaction to something more than tree pollen as the skin around my eyes has gone paper thin and sore Anyway I’ll be hosting @lorraine tomorrow and for all of next week – sorry for my face!”
Ranvir worried viewers when she was suddenly replaced by reporter Louisa James to read the news midway through GMB.

After Susanna asked how Ranvir was doing, Louisa explained: “She’s OK, well we think she’s going to be OK. We think Ranvir may have had an allergic reaction. She’s got a sore eye. She’s just resting.”
Just before being yanked off air, Ranvir tweeted to her followers: “Anyone else got the worst most painful stinging hay-fever they’ve ever had? I can barely keep my eyes open. If there was a vaccine for this I’d sign up asap :(.”

Susanna said Ranvir would be “back in a moment”, but had failed to return later in the show.
It comes as The Sun revealed Ranvir quit her role as political editor on GMB but bosses have been fighting to keep her on the show.
Insiders said Ranvir was sick of the cold mornings standing on the doorstep of Number 10.
She handed in her notice at the end of last year under the premise she would be moved into a more substantial role on the flagship ITV show.
Ranvir’s profile has continued to soar, with her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 helping to make her a household name.
