Manchester United Star Unhappy With National Team Boss

Enrique shocked many when he decided to drop De Gea from the Spain squad this month despite his stellar form for Manchester United.

He has 45 caps for Spain but has not played a game for his country since the UEFA Nations League in 2020 and has largely been the number 2 to Unai Simon.

But Enrique’s decision still came as a surprise and it has been claimed that De Gea is furious with the national team coach.

According to Spanish sports daily AS, Enrique personally called the Manchester United goalkeeper to convey the reasons behind his decision.

It agitated the 31-year-old as he did not agree with the rationale shown by the Spain coach.

He believes there is little justification for dropping him from the Spain squad despite what Enrique thinks.

There are suggestions that De Gea has told Enrique not to select him for Spain if he is not the first choice.

But the player’s camp have denied the speculation and insisted that he will always be available to be in the national team.
