Neighbour’s savage note demands mum stops her kids playing ‘so loudly’ outside – & she’s slammed for her caravan too
A NEIGHBOUR has divided opinion with a savage note written to a mum on their street, demanding her kids stop playing “so loudly” outside.
A snap of the anonymous note was shared on a Western Australia page on Facebook by someone called Sophie, although it’s unclear whether or not she was the person who actually received it.
“Your direct neighbours are not happy as the footy bangs against the fence and this makes their dogs bark, which then wakes up the whole street,” the note begins, after acknowledging that the parent has only just recently moved onto their street.
“Could you please be quieter and respect us. We would prefer not to get outside agencies involved,” the neighbour wrote.
But it wasn’t just the loud playing they took issue with – but the caravan situated on the front of the property.
“Also you have a caravan on the property with someone living in it,” they concluded.

“You need permission from the council. Thank you, your neighbours.”
Those commenting on the post were largely divided, with one person insisting the neighbour was in the right to pen it.
“I think anything hitting the fence repeatedly would be annoying to any human being, a bit of respect goes a long way,” one argued.
“Kids have all the right to play in their own homes but there is no need to hit the fence all the time to have fun.”

But others were on the side of the note’s recipient.
“Thank you number 19 for being a fantastic mum for letting your kids be kids,” one wrote.
“We are elderly and go down south to a farm stay over the Christmas school holidays in our caravan, there’s kids and dogs (dogs are on leads) running and playing with each other and what a joyful noise they all make and yes it makes us smile, we were young once and so where your neighbours.”
And another hilariously added: “If I got that note, I would probably have considered trying to keep the kids noise level down a bit – until the outside agencies’ threat.
“I’d buy the kids a drum kit.”

Someone else weighed in on the point about the caravan, writing: “Really who cares if someone is in a caravan during these times of very few rentals.
“How cruel really to go on about this. I could not care if every single home in WA had a caravan in their yard at this time.”
