Roof collapses on elderly man in Marsa

An 83-year-old man was hospitalised on Thursday after the roof of a residence in Marsa collapsed on him.

The police said the accident happened in Triq Stiefnu Zerafa at 3pm.

The man was given first aid on site and then transferred to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

His condition is not yet known.

The police said Civil Protection officers assisted in the operation.
