Report reveals how much Spurs would have to pay to sign 22-year-old this summer
According to Defensa Central, Tottenham Hotspur would have to pay €40m (£33.9m) to sign Porto midfielder Vitinha this summer.
Vitinha spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Wolves, with the West Midlands club not taking up the option to sign him permanently for £18m (Express and Star).
It was reported during last summer’s transfer window that agent Jorge Mendes offered Tottenham the chance to sign the midfielder (Mercado Azul).
Vitinha ended up staying put at the Estadio do Dragao and he has been in excellent form for the Portuguese giants so far this campaign.
Lazio (Il Messaggero via Lazio News 24), Liverpool (O Jogo via Sport Witness) and Bayern Munich (Bild) have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.
Defensa Central have now revealed that Real Madrid have also entered the race for Vitinha ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, the report adds that it would take an offer of around €40m (£33.9m) to be able to prise the midfielder away from Porto.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs do not tend to get involved in bidding wars and we know that Paratici explores several targets for each position. So, if there is indeed as much interest in Vitinha as reports indicate, the North Londoners would likely move on to other options.
