Dillian Whyte’s silence ahead of Tyson Fury fight has been a ‘masterstroke’ as pressure has been ‘thrown to’ Gypsy King
DILLIAN WHYTE’s radio silence ahead of his grudge match with Tyson Fury has been hailed as a “masterstroke.”
The interim WBC heavyweight champion skipped a pre-fight presser for the domestic dust-up earlier this month in protest of the 80/20 purse split in Fury’s favour.
Whyte hasn’t uttered a single word about next month’s Battle of Britain at Wembley, leaving former sparring partner Fury to do all the talking.
And former cruiserweight champ Tony Bellew reckons Whyte is playing things perfectly, telling iFL TV: “I think the silence from him is brilliant, I think it’s a masterstroke.
“Because all the questions, all the problems and questions are being thrown to Tyson Fury. It’s not fault.”
Defending undisputed WBC champ Fury has been tipped by many to walk right through Whyte next month.

But Bellew is adamant the Brixton Body Snatcher can turn the boxing world upside down by flattening Fury.
He said: “What’s going to happen on the night will be exciting.
“It will be a brilliant fight to watch. It will not be easy, it will not be one-sided.
“I don’t care who is saying it is. You’re wrong. This will not be a one-sided beatdown because Dillian is too big, too brave and too strong to let that happen.
“He’s shown that against various heavyweights in the world. Big, big dudes – big dues.

“Even when he was out of shape after eating everything MasterChef could offer, he still puts in a valiant performance against Helenius.
“And Helenius is a big, big old lump. So Dillian is a problem, man. He really is and I wouldn’t write him off whatsoever.
“Tyson Fury is the clear favourite going in, no two ways about it.”
Bellew also reckons Fury will have to pick himself off the canvas the same way he did in two of his three fights with Deontay Wilder.
He told talkSPORT: “But, believe you me, I actually think he’s going to have to get off the floor.

“Dillian Whyte is game as anything and he will jump all over Tyson Fury. He won’t care about the showboating, the dancing around, the drop of the hand.
“He also won’t get in Dillian’s head… Tyson can’t break Dillian’s mindset. Dillian is a tough, rough, hard kid.”
