My bridesmaids changed into JEANS & T-shirts half-way through my wedding – one even left to shop in Target

YOU’VE heard about bridezillas, but what about bad bridesmaids?

A disheartened, newly wed woman in her 30s took to social media to vent about how her two bridesmaids acted throughout her wedding festivities.

The bride had gotten married one week prior to dishing the details of the wedding day on Reddit.

According to her, she had chosen her bridesmaids based on their friendship with her.

She claimed that she was unemployed but still paid for her friends’ dresses because they assumed she would.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, in her eyes, her friends seemed to show disinterest in the whole process.

She claimed: “They didn’t even want to get fitted so I got their measurements and sent away for custom dresses from JJ’s House that are not refundable.

“I thought that would be okay because then I’d get some great photos of us together.”

The dresses in question were a sky-blue “A-Line V-neck Knee-Length Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress” purchased at JJ’s House, which the bridesmaids had confirmed they liked.

And despite their apparent disinterest in the wedding details, the bride’s friends wore the dresses during the wedding ceremony, along with real bouquets bought by the bride.

The real issue came during the wedding reception when the bridesmaids removed their formal dresses and threw their bouquets in the car, opting for casual T-shirts and dirty sneakers instead.

To make matters worse, the dress code was semi-formal. Everyone wore formal clothes, including groomsmen who were in tuxedos.

The bride’s friends weren’t very involved during the reception either.

“I didn’t even see them until after the first dance, and had to get someone else’s assistance bustling my dress and removing my veil,” the newly married woman stated.

When the bride finally saw her friends’ casual getup at her reception, she was taken aback, but there was apparently too much going on at once for her to say anything.

A week after her ceremony, the woman is now wondering if she should address her friends.

“Now it’s a week later and I keep thinking about it, like why? And feel kind of hurt and disrespected.

“Should I ask them about it? Both of them said the dress fit perfectly.

“I guess the moral is to explicitly tell your bridesmaids what you wanted them to do.

“I told both of them I needed help bustling and neither was available when I needed them.”

Apparently, both bridesmaids gave reasons for their change into casual clothing.

According to the bride, the first bridesmaid didn’t think the reception was going to be formal and said it was cold and wet, as it did rain before and during the indoor ceremony.

Apparently, she may have gotten a little wet, but not soaked.

Temperatures ranged from 59-77 Fahrenheit that day, but the bride acknowledged that her friend is sensitive to cold.

The second bridesmaid heard the first bridesmaid say she was going to change out of the dress, so she did too.

The bride detailed: “She stopped at target and accidentally got kids clothes. But said she regretted changing out of it because the bridesmaid dress was warmer and she felt pretty in it.

“She also said she thought it might be a rental and was afraid of getting something on it.”

The bride claimed that she’s not mad at her bridesmaids, just disappointed that they weren’t all able to take pictures in the gardens at the reception.

“I’m less confused, but I still don’t understand. I wish things went otherwise, but let this be a lesson to others to be very explicit with your bridesmaids.

“I still didn’t get an answer why they didn’t help me with my dress or veil, I guess they were more concerned with their own dresses.”
