Grandparents can now book rooms for free in 35 hotels across the UK – but you’ll need to be quick

GRANDPARENTS heading on holiday with their families can bag a free stay in 35 hotels across the UK.

Hotel group IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched a new offer giving grandparents the opportunity to book a free room when they spend two nights away with their children or grandchildren.

Families can take advantage of the offer while kids are off school during the Easter holidays.

Hotels are available across the UK, so there is something for every holiday lover.

If you fancy a city break, you can head to a hotel in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham or Newcastle.

Or if you’d prefer to stay near the coast, there are participating hotels in Bournemouth, Southend and Newport.

To get the offer, families must book two rooms for two nights at a participating hotel and they’ll receive the cheapest room for free.

Karin Sheppard, managing director at IHG Hotels & Resorts in Europe, said: “We know that families have truly felt the impact of not being able to spend time together and none more so than grandparents who have missed out on milestone family moments.

“We value the importance of family time and helping our guests to reconnect – that’s why we created our grandparents stay for free offer, hopefully making coming together hassle free and enabling these families to focus on spending quality time together again.”

The offer is available until April 20 for hotel stays between April 6 and July 15.
