Russia considering switching from Uefa to Asia?

In the last couple of days it has been reported that Russian clubs and national teams are considering leaving UEFA and joing AFC because they have allies in Asia?

If Russia did leave UEFA and join AFC how do you think they do in world cup Qualifiers and Asian tournaments?

Will Russia really leave UEFA for AFC or is a just bluster?
