Iron Man's Most Ridiculous Armor Made Him A Transformer

0

Tony Stark has created more Iron Man armors than he can probably remember, but when he turned his Vespa into a suit, he effectively became an unofficial Transformer. In Tony Stark: Iron Man #4, the Avenger debuts a new suit created from his luxury scooter, which turns out to be a fellow hero's favorite armor he's ever made. Like a Transformer, the armor impressively transforms from the vehicle into a robot-like suit of armor.

It's become a bit of a joke at this point, but Iron Man seemingly has armor for nearly every occasion. Whether its armor specifically designed to take out a fellow hero, such as Hulk or Squirrel Girl, armor made for specific weather conditions, or turning an even bigger robot into a suit of armor, Tony Stark seems to have a suit no matter what challenge he faces. Of course, not all of Iron Man's armors have been winners or helped as they should have, but that hasn't stopped Stark from continually deploying his new suits - including when he showcased his Transformer-like Vespa armor.

In Tony Stark: Iron Man #4 by Dan Slott, Valerio Schiti, Edgar Delgado, and VC's Joe Caramagna, Tony Stark and Janet Van Dyne enjoy a date as the hero takes his fellow Avenger for his ride on his Vespa. However, when killer robots interrupt the pair on their lunch date, Iron Man shows off his newest armor. In a hilarious reveal, Stark's Vespa, like a Transformer, turns from a vehicle into a suit of armor for the hero. The Wasp can't help but admit it's her favorite Iron Man suit ever.

Much like the Transformers, Tony Stark's Vespa armor combines the look of a vehicle with a robot-like frame. The armor keeps some of the elements of the Vespa, including the bumpers becoming his shoulder protection, while the wheels and handlebars can be seen throughout. The handlebars even act as a new weapon, becoming an energy sword weapon for the hero. The armor blends the Vespa and Iron Man armor pretty well, but it's still clear it was made from the vehicle. Ultimately, it's powerful enough to defeat his enemies.

Iron Man's Transformer-like armor is one of his silliest ensembles ever, as he turns the Vespa into a fully functioning suit. But, like the Transformers, Tony Stark managed to make the luxury vehicle into an effective weapon, as it helped dispose of the killer robots. Iron Man becoming a Transformer-like hero is completely ridiculous, especially given his vehicle of choice. Still, it makes for a fun issue that shows Iron Man always has a suit for every situation.
