The OnePlus 10 Pro Is Now Available In The U.S., And It'll Cost You $899
OnePlus just wrapped up a virtual launch event where it (finally) launched the OnePlus 10 Pro in the United States — and confirmed its surprisingly low price. If you're a big OnePlus fan, the last couple of months have been undeniably strange. OnePlus typically announces its first flagship of the year in March or April and then launches it a few days later. Whether you live in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China, or anywhere else, there's one big OnePlus event that everyone looks forward to.
At least that's how it used to be. This year, OnePlus started trickling out 10 Pro information as early as January 3. The company used four separate announcements to reveal the OnePlus 10 Pro's design, specs, camera features, and launch information. But those launch details only applied to customers in China. While the 10 Pro has been widely available in China since early January, that hasn't been true for any other market. Live somewhere in North America, Europe, or India? You've had to sit on the sidelines and patiently wait for the OnePlus 10 Pro to eventually come to your country.
Thankfully, that waiting has finally paid off. During a global launch event on March 31, OnePlus officially launched the 10 Pro in all of the above markets. And (almost) all of the specs we've been hearing about for nearly three months are the same in the U.S. as they are in China. That means the OnePlus 10 Pro ships with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, three rear cameras, a 5000 mAh battery, and has Android 12 right out of the box. Surprisingly, the 10 Pro delivers all of that while costing less than its predecessor. You can buy the 8GB RAM/128GB storage OnePlus 10 Pro in the U.S. for just $899 — a noticeable decrease over the $969 OnePlus 9 Pro with the same RAM and storage.
Along with the lower price, availability for the OnePlus 10 Pro is virtually identical to the 9 Pro. The best place for some people to buy is directly through OnePlus's website. OnePlus's website offers free standard delivery, a 15-day replacement policy, and has a trade-in system so you can get a discount after sending in your old phone. The OnePlus 10 Pro is also heading to Amazon, Best Buy, and T-Mobile. T-Mobile remains the exclusive U.S. carrier partner for OnePlus. The 10 Pro is still compatible with AT&T and Verizon, but T-Mobile is the only carrier selling it directly.
If you're interested in picking up the 10 Pro for yourself, keep in mind that OnePlus is only opening pre-orders as of March 31. Regular sales don't begin until April 14. That said, you'll want to place an early order before then if you want the phone as soon as possible. Considering how quickly last year's OnePlus 9 Pro sold out — likely through a mix of high demand and ongoing chip constraints — it's safe to assume availability could also be tricky this year.
