Veteran and athlete Lorreal McDowell is new Hawks women’s basketball coach

Lorreal McDowell always knew she would become a coach.

“It was always in the cards for me,” said McDowell, the new head coach of the HFC’s women’s basketball team. She lives in Westland with her 2-year-old son, David.
