The Chase’s Jenny Ryan hits back at troll slamming her as ‘sarcastic and rude’ saying ‘it’s not my job to be attractive’
THE Chase star Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan has hit back at a troll who slammed her as “sarcastic and rude” in a vile tweet.
The quizzing expert – who joined the hit ITV show back in 2015 – savagely told the follower it was “not her job to be attractive”.
Jenny, 39, launched a passionate rant to her Twitter fans as she shared a screenshot of the horrible message sent by the troll.
The vile tweet read: “Jenny being patronising, sarcastic and rude to the contestants on The Chase is not an attractive feature.”
Sharing it with her 108K followers, Jenny hit back directly to the man that she wasn’t trying to “be attractive to him” in a counter-attack.
“Well, isn’t it great that my job isn’t to be attractive?” she wrote, adding. “At least not to be attractive to this guy.”

She went on to slam certain viewers of The Chase for “judging her” based on whether they want to “bang her” instead of her job.
Jenny added: “It’s infuriating that in 2022 CE I’m still being primarily judged on whether some random man on the internet wants to bang me (based on some Victorian ideal of the meek and mild woman, apparently) rather than how good I am at my job.”
“I’m rarely patronising, let alone sarcastic or rude to the contestants,” she concluded in a side note – as fans flooded the comments to support her.
“You’ve always come across as kind and polite and the odd quip you make is part of the Chaser role you’re playing,” one fan wrote.

A second chimed in to encourage Jenny: “You’re not Jenny, you are a really lovely person. I think you say things as they are.You are The Vixen, a strong and smart Chaser.”
“You always strike me as very gracious and encouraging if anything!” a third wrote, as others simply told the star they “love her”.
Jenny rose to fame with her appearance as The Vixen on The Chase, having joined the popular game show back in 2015.
She is no stranger when it comes to making appearances on quiz shows, having also worked on The Weakest Link and Fifteen to One.
The redhead from Bolton also starred in University Challenge in a bid to help the University of Leeds reach the semi-finals in 2003.
Her big break, however, came in 2009, after being approached to write questions for the pilot episode of The Chase.

She didn’t join the show until 2015, when she made her debut appearance as a stand-in – and it was all thanks to fellow chaser Anne Hegerty, who recommended producers to hire her to be on the show.
Jenny is better known as The Vixen, which is in reference to her red hair and the former ponytail she sported; and apparently producers like the name since “vixens are notoriously clever and cunning.”
