Medieval-style shed filled with suits of armour and swords nominated for Shed Of The Year
THIS medieval-style shed’s owner has thrown down the gauntlet to his opponents.
Wayne Haskett, 53, hopes his lair full of suits of armour, swords, axes and skulls will conquer all in the Cuprinol Shed of the Yard awards.
The married support worker built it to play Dungeons & Dragons role-play games with pals in Hednesford, Staffs.
Snaps reveal life-sized models of knights and warlocks while the walls are covered in daggers, swords, and shields.
Wayne dubbed his fantasy lair The Yawning Portal and role plays as medieval characters in his garden.
The archaic den boasts a table fit for eight knights of the realm complete with robes and rum.

Photos also show an impressive collection of bows and arrows as well as a taxidermy crow.
Other entries include a music studio and a shed dedicated to the 1970s.
Shed of the Year boss Andrew Wilcox said: “The entries for this year’s Cuprinol Shed Of The Year really exemplify the very best of British creativity and eccentricity.
“From creating fantasy lands, to cool refuges from modern life and a musical haven in the back garden.”
