I created a sprinkler at home with Dollar Tree buys – it’s so easy to do & the kids love it

IF you have toddlers at home, you’re probably always trying to keep them entertained.

Many parents want their kids off their screens and playing outside, but they don’t want to spend money on expensive toys.

Using only one store-bought item, she created a DIY sprinkler[/caption]

A mother and creative life hack expert named Kate Bast, who goes by @thebastfamily on TikTok, shared an easy, cheap activity to make for your kids at home.

All you need is a foam pool noodle, which can be bought at your local Dollar Tree, and a wine cork.

Kate poked holes along one side of the noodle using a sharp device and stuck the cork in the hole on one end.

She then took the noodle outside and inserted a hose into the other end of the noodle.

When she turned on the water, it shot out of the small, poked holes like a sprinkler.

As for other easy kid games to create at home, a mom named Celena Kinsey shared her idea.

“So for my parents who don’t have a lot of time but want to make fun play experiences for your kids, this is for you,” she began.

For the activity, you’ll need a pack of craft foam, which you will cut into different shapes.

“Give kids a cup of water and some paintbrushes and let them make window mosaics with their foam pieces,” she explained.

Once the water is applied with the paintbrush to the back of the foam, it can easily be stuck on the window.

It can also be easily removed – which is equally important!

Celena concluded her video by sharing another “mum hack”, as she said: “Once they’re done, give them a towel so they can be window cleaners.”

She was quickly hailed as a “genius” by other parents, with one writing: “Love it. Thanks!”

“Ok this one is genius!” someone else wrote, to which Celena replied: “My kid either loves painting one day or loves cleaning the other so no matter what it’s a win.”
