Here’s a look at all of the voice actors in The Bad Guys and the roles people might best know them from. Being a Dreamworks film, The Bad Guys naturally features a credible pool of talent among its cast members. Some of them have more experience with as voice actors over live-action performances than others, but everyone involved is still able to bring something to the table, either way.
The Bad Guys is the latest DreamWorks film, based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Aaron Blabey. The titular “bad guys” are a group of anthropomorphic animal thieves who are caught on a heist gone wrong. The gang is spared from incarceration when they’re given a chance to reform their criminal ways, although they’re mostly just pretending to reform, so it’ll be easier for them to keep committing crimes.

Sam Rockwell voices Mr. Wolf in The Bad Guys - the leader of the gang and the protagonist of the film. Rockwell won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jason Dixon in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. He also voiced Vic Reynolds in F is for Family and played Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2.
Marc Maron voices Mr. Snake, a sarcastic safecracker and Mr. Wolf’s second-in-command. Maron played a fictionalized version of himself in the show Maron. More recently, Maron co-starred as Sam Sylvia in the Netflix series GLOW.
Anthony Ramos voices Mr. Piranha, the muscle of the gang. Ramos played both John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in Hamilton, and his performance earned him a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award following the release of the live stage recording to Disney+. Ramos also starred in A Star is Born and In the Heights, and he is set to appear in both Ironheart and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Craig Robinson voices Mr. Shark, the gang’s master of disguise. Two of Robinson’s most notable roles are Darryl Philbin on The Office and Doug Judy on NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Robinson has also starred in This Is the End, Hot Tub Time Machine, and Morris from America, which earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.
Awkwafina voices Ms. Tarantula, the gang’s expert hacker. Awkwafina co-created and stars in Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens and has also starred in Ocean’s 8, Crazy Rich Asians, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. For voice acting, Awkwafina has voiced Sisu in Raya and the Last Dragon and Skye in The Boys Presents: Diabolical, with her character featuring in a story she wrote.
Richard Ayoade voices Prof. Rupert Marmalade IV, a philanthropist who tries to get the gang to reform. Ayoade is best known for playing Maurice Moss on The IT Crowd, for which he won the 2014 BAFTA for Best Male Comedy Performance. He’s also starred in Soul, Apple & Onion, and Disenchantment.
Zazie Beetz voices Diane Foxington, the governor who takes a personal interest in the gang’s attempts to reform. Beetz is best known for playing Vanessa on Atlanta, a role that earned her a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. Beetz also voices Amber in Invincible and played Domino in Deadpool 2 and Sophie in Joker.
Alex Borstein As Misty Luggins - Alex Borstein voices chief of police Misty Luggins. Borstein was a cast member on MADtv and stars as Susie Myerson on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. For voice acting, Borstein is best known for voicing Lois Griffin on FOX's Family Guy.
Lilly Singh As Tiffany Fluffit - Lilly Singh voices local news reporter Tiffany Fluffit in The Bad Guys. Singh started out on YouTube, with the channel “IISuperwomanII” and was one of the highest-paid YouTubers in 2016. Singh was also the host of the late-night talk show A Little Late with Lilly Singh, making her the first person of Indian descent to host an American late-night show on a major network.
